Things You'll Need:

  • Douche bottle or sponge
  • Lemon juice
  1. Step 1

    When you go shopping, look for the freshest lemon juice possible. You can juice your own lemons if you have time for the best results. Bottled lemon juice will work just as well, but you will need to make your solution stronger.

  2. Step 2

    Buy a reusable douching system or a pack of disposable douches. If you are using disposables, you will need to empty them out before use with the juice.

  3. Step 3

    If you are using fresh juice, mix 1/3 cup of lemon juice to 2/3 cup water. Mix well, then pour into your chosen douching system. Prepare the douching system to use, per the manufacturer instructions.

  4. Step 4

    Use this mixture before and after sex for the maximum results. The most important step is before sex, as the lemon juice causes an acidic enviroment where sperm cannot survive. Scientists have validated the use of lemon juice as a very effective contraceptive.

  5. Step 5

    If you do not wish to douche, purchase a contraceptive sponge at your local pharmacy. Rinse it until all traces of the contraceptive are gone. Soak in a solution of half lemon juice, half water. Insert it and continue use per manufacturer instructions. You can also make your own sponge by cutting a 3 inch diameter circle from a thick natural sponge. Insert before intercourse and leave in place for at least a half hour after relations.
