PALESTINE AND THE COLONIALISM QUESTION

Posted by Wambui on Monday, December 29, 2008, In : POLITICS

We all want to feel like we stand on the side of truth and justice, that we do not side with an oppressor. So why is it that for the longest time, I never understood the plight of Palestine. Is it because I was raised a catholic and came to believe that Israel belonged to the Jews Gods  "chosen people" (if they are chosen by God, what does that make us?). Every one acts as though the middle east conflict is the most complicated foreign relations issue in the world, really its very simple. Its ...

THE POWER WITHIN

Posted by Wambui on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, In : HISTORY

How do you describe your self? I'm a nurse, I'm a teacher... do you define your self as your occupation. Know Your Ish***

The reason we were in that room carefree and partying was because Activists like Miriam Makeba had fought hard for our freedom. After afew minutes of being pissed off, I r...
